Generator Engineer
We have an exciting new opportunity for a hard-working and driven individual with experience in generator engineering to be a vital part of our friendly engineering team.

Ingram Installations have been installing and maintaining generators for almost 50 years. In that time, we have built up a strong reputation of providing a first-class service. We’re a small family run company, where every member of staff is valued.
The Position
You will be working within the Service and Installation teams to include hands-on maintenance, installation, service, and repairs on a varied range of diesel generators and associated equipment on various sites across the UK.
The ideal candidate must show the ability to work within a team and as an individual.
You should have good written and communication skills and be proficient in the use of software programs, such as word and excel.
The role will include travel, with the occasional working away and overnight stays.
We also operate a call out rota, helping our customers in the event of a breakdown.
Normal working week of 37.5 hours, plus any overtime.
The Location
We are based in Hazel Grove but provide generator services throughout the UK.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in the industry. Good working knowledge of diesel industrial engines. Good working knowledge of generator control panels. Good understanding of Manual & Automatic change over systems Experience & basic understanding of PLC’s and microprocessor-based control systems. Good working knowledge of fuel transfer & storage systems. Good analytical & problem-solving skills. A comprehensive understanding of electrical health & safety regulations A valid clean UK driving licence is essential for the role. Any relevant qualifications are not essential, but beneficial.
